Stol is a handcrafted chair that explores craftsmanship, functionality, and simplicity through a clean, minimalist design that highlights the natural beauty of hardwood. Inspired by Danish Modernism and the work of Hans Wegner, the piece balances form and function to create a chair that is both visually refined and ergonomically supportive. The name Stol, meaning “chair” in Danish, reflects the project’s roots in Danish Modernist principles and its commitment to timeless elegance, practicality, and purpose. Selected as one of only a few projects featured in the Lawrence Technological University student design show, Stol represents both a focused exploration of craft and a portfolio-defining work.
